ABOUT

GM LiDAR Surveys Ltd was formed by Chris & Nikk Gotthardt-Mills, after many years working in the laser scanning industry with government, defence and chartered survey organisations. We are a driven company that likes to impress our clients with fast and quality deliverables. We have invested in top of the range survey equipment to be able to provide a proficient service.

Our goal is to create trust with our clients so they are confident to make us their default provider of laser scanning.

"Gleeds have worked with GM LiDAR Surveys on numerous occasions in the last year and have been very impressed with their hard working “can do” attitude while working on our projects. The level of expertise with 3D Laser Scanning is extremely high, especially for Scan to BIM projects where the resultant model is only as good as the initial data captured. GM LiDAR Surveys really do go the extra mile and I would highly recommend them to anyone."

There are very few people in the world who have better experience and knowledge of laser scanning than Nikk.

Nikk started his career at Transport Research Laboratories (TRL), during the infancy of laser scanning. There he used laser scanners to present vehicle and barrier crash tests as well as road incident investigations. Nikk also led scanning surveys for the purpose of modelling various high profile sites in the UK for security purposes.

In 2006 Nikk was headhunted by New York based civil engineering firm Naik Inc, where he led laser scanning surveys on infrastructure projects across the USA. In 2010 Nikk returned to the UK to join Plowman Craven Ltd as a sub contractor but was quickly offered a full time position.
